Paintball has become one of he most popular outdoor sports amongst adventurous people, who love the challenge of a team contest. Along side the excitement of battling another team on a large playing arena, there is this cool equipment used in the game, from which the gun is the key element, as without the paintball guns the game will be no fun. The paintball guns are loaded with paint, of course, and gas, which launch the paintballs directly into the target. In order for the paintball to break and splash the target it needs to be launched with approximately 300 feet per second, this is the approximately speed with which the gas propels the paintball through the air.

On one hand, the range of paintball guns is large, with different specifications, customizations and features. For instance, you can opt for an electronically controlled firing system or the ones with gas. The barrels of the paintball gun can also differ from 12, 16, 18 to 20 inches, the most common ones, but there is also the possibility of customizing it and make it up to 40 inches. The longer the barrel of the gun is, the less noise it makes when you shoot, even though it doesn’t affect its accuracy it can slow down a player due to its weight. Furthermore, the firing modes can also differ from a paintball gun to another, from the ones with pump action, which are slower, semi-automatic paintball guns, which reloads a new paintball every time you pull the trigger, to the automatic guns which automatically reload paintball as long as the trigger is pulled.

On the other hand, when choosing your paintball gun there are some other things you need to have in mind, like the money you want to spend on it as they are not so cheap. Furthermore, think about how often you play paintball and if you really need to buy a paintball gun or you can use a borrowed or rented one. Of course, you can always opt for second-hand paintball guns as they offer good quality levels on affordable prices.

After deciding which paintball gun suits you best, it is time to learn a few things about reloading it. It is not very difficult, as it is similar to black powder guns reloading. For paintball guns reloading you need three things: the paintball gun, of course, the paintball ammunition and a rubber band. After checking all this elements, look for the paintball ammo storage, a plastic container on the top of the gun, usually, open it and make sure it is clean in order to avoid the paintball gun to jam. Then insert the paintballs into the container carefully not to break them, close the container and wrap it from the top of the gun with a rubber band so that it will keep it closed during the game. Finally, fire the paintball gun to make sure it is properly reloaded before go out and play.

In the end, you could use a curved piece of paper to put the paintballs into the container easier, or a cardboard tube. This way you can be sure that you won’t spill any of it and you will do this faster. Furthermore, make sure that none of the paintball you want to introduce in your paintball gun is dirty or has paint on it in order to avoid the gun to jam. Another precaution measurement is to have more rubber bands on you in case the first one snaps.
