For those who are moving to a new home, being excited is understandable. When one is moving to a new home, they will start a new life, find new of friends, stay at anew place and discover, all of the new things that are waiting to be explored. Your excitement may be hard to contain, but this shouldn't be an excuse for being reckless when packing your belongings. This is, indeed, quite a tedious task, but having to unload everything once you arrive in your new home and finding that you've damaged some things or even left some in your old house can be more of a challenge to deal with. Therefore you would always like to use a system as you prepare for your move.

To put a significant sense of organization into your packed belongings, make sure you label everything. But you can't just do this in a very general way, or you would be defeating the whole purpose of labeling. Putting 'WORK' or 'PERSONAL' on those boxes and plastic bags isn't enough. You have to be specific. Once you're done putting labels, write down everything on a piece of paper so you can make an inventory once you arrive in your new home. Doing this, you'd know if everything you've packed has arrived if some had gone missing.

You may also need some strategy when loading your packed belongings into a truck or van. Put in first those things that you'll need the least. Here, when you arrive in your new home, you can easily unload those things you'll be needing more urgently.

Number each one according to the order in which they should go into the vehicle, this is a good way to manage loading your packages. By doing this, it would be easier for you and the truck service guys to arrange your belongings the way you want them.

Separating those essential items that you'll be needing for the first few days of your arrival will make things easier. See to it that you have some of these essentials such as toiletries and a few clothes packed separately so you don't have to go dig into boxes because you cannot expect to have everything in its place within this time.

The excitement can easily overshadow the difficulties in moving. With a lot of common sense and patience through the preparations though, it should not be too difficult.
