All aspects of facial and body skin age and age differently as time passes. Additionally there is loss of bone volume in a variety of places. The large floppy ears and longer noses of older individuals result from a late life growth spurt that begins in the late sixties and continues through the eighties. Those same aging factors begin effecting breast skin and the result can be sagging breasts or even breast size reduction.

With aging, skin area increases. This is one of the best known aging factors and is often treated with facelifts and eye surgeries. Between the bone and the skin, the volume of the subcutaneous layer decreases and can be seen in famously aged people like Keith Richards. When the Rolling Stones released their first album in 1964, 12 by 5, he didn't have the furrows and crevices that line his famous face today. Dealing with the decrease in subcutaneous volume is done quickly and conveniently with large volume filler replacements like Juvederm, dermal filler that allows areas like cheeks and temples to be returned to much younger appearances.

Facelifts, eye surgeries and filler are great for skin issues. However bone volume loss can be treated by augmenting the subcutaneous volume as well with good cosmetic effect. The bone itself could be augmented with implants but the volume added is the same as the volume added by the injection of fillers.

Similarly, breast enhancement cosmetic procedures such as breast augmentation and breast lift can greatly help to remove the effects of sagging breast skin and reduction of breast size. The procedures include using silicon or saline implants or even and a recently introduced technique in which a patient’s own fat is used.

This article describes how aging can affect breast appearance and how breast augmentation and breast lift procedures can help you restore looking youthful.
