You may have heard about a Chinese proverb that says "a picture is worth a thousand words". However, this idea was not widely accepted until the 1920s when businessmen tried using pictures or images in their ads. They use this to market their products and services and because it was effective, it has been used since then. Not a lot of people will read phrases in a newspaper but a picture can catch the attention of a reader whether or not he actually cares to see what was advertised. The sentence not only refers to a picture that can tell a story or a fact but it can also be used for other aspects such as doing one good deed that means a thousand words.

What do you expect to get from taking pictures? Or why do you want your picture taken? Many people take a picture of something that is beautiful or something that shows raw emotion like a child who is laughing. By doing this, we are preserving those precious moments. When we are happy or celebrating something, we like to have a remembrance of these moments to keep as keepsakes.

In a world where we never stop growing old, memories are essential. Photography reminds us of what and who we were and what we had. Photographs preserve these memories for a lifetime, that's why people love to take photos or love to have their pictures taken. Photography is an art form. Bad lighting can result in a bad picture. Sometimes, we wonder why studio photographs are better than the photographs we take ourselves. It's not because we just don't know how to position the camera or we don't know what lens to use. It's usually because we don't have the proper lighting and the right equipment for it.

When it comes to studio photographs, the photographers will always produce a great picture regardless of how ordinary the subject looks. Studio photographers have the skills and the equipment needed to create that effect through editing and a few twitches here and there. Therefore, if you have your picture taken by an expert photographer, you will surely have a picture like that of a magazine. People usually want to take photographs themselves thinking this will let them save on cost. Of course, you can save on cost however, you will regret it so much if the photo came out bad. So why not have it taken by a photographer or have it taken in a photo studio so that you wont' have any regrets in the future.
