Planning to have a garden wedding is a choice that would show one's free-spirited attitude and inclination to nature - an event where everyone can be formal yet be hassle-free in movement. To make your garden wedding extra special, include in your plans additional style or accents for your wedding theme. Just make sure that these added accents do not destroy the wedding theme. Instead, it should be there to make your wedding look really special and to have lasting impact on the memories of all present.
Here are a few tips to make your garden wedding more special :
1. Birds - You can hang bird cages filled with birds around your wedding venue. A pair of love birds in each cage is preferable. Select a cage with a solid base or bottom so the bird drippings or water will not spill from it. Color the cages with your wedding motif color. You can choose to tie a big bow of the same motif color at the cage hook or top. Glue a bunch of small width ribbons of the same motif color below the cage. The length will be dependent on your choice as you see it fit the whole scene. Longer bunches of ribbons fit a high height where it is hung. Love birds will stand out if your motif has a different color from the birds.
2. Petals - Aside from the regular floral decorations, you can use petals around your wedding site. You may choose one-colored petal throughout the site or you may go multi-colored. If you want, try using petals with the motif color of your wedding if it is available. If the color is not in season or found among flowers, then choose other flowers that would accentuate your motif color. The petals must be soak in a basin of scented water (just use any lightly scented or baby cologne to mix with the water). A little minutes before the guests will arrive, sprinkle the petals on the lawn. Place a thick carpet of petals on the aisle and around the place of the bride and groom for the wedding ceremony.
These accents can make your garden wedding extra special with the sight of the birds and the petals which also exude with the scent of love. Having a live band singing love songs during the whole ceremony will even make it more special.
